Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 4 Aug 2016 02:50

Just came across this whilst looking for something else and thought people might like to reminisce, since Gaynor Bear and Mommylonglegs have been mentioned on the new GRFB page

Still have my small pink bear, sitting on the back of the sofa

I often think of Gaynor Bear's travels, she came to me in Norwich and spent time with me and my son on his birthday. She also attended the Lord Mayor's Procession.

I still have the small bear that I bought from Jenny, she sits on the back of the sofa (the bear, not Jenny)

It started as just 'an idea' but it generated such great times. I'm sure many of us got to meet and hear about other's lives in a way that was unique. I enjoyed being part of her travels Thank you Jenny and GB. Well done. Gwyn

Just to let you all know that I collected Gaynor Bear on Thursday 15th Feb from Sue. We travelled to Aberdeen and then back to Inverness. She is currently reclining in my grandson's chair! Hopefully, tomorrow, we will go to Skye - and equally hopefully, I'll get my camera to work!! Christine

Well done Jenny! My children still ask after GB. We marked on a map with pink stickers where she'd been (and green for where she was going) when she came to us in Wirral. My children took the map and a powerpoint presentation of general pictures of places she'd been when GB gave a 'talk' to their 3 Year 5 classes. I have a feeling they'd like to go to the wedding and as we are the mad parents who drive to Hadrians Wall for the day we'll probably be there if its not a school day. Best wishes teresa

So very well done for persevering with this to the end Jenny. It has truly been a marathon task and verybody has done so well. As somebody else said, who would have thought a 'silly' idea would have raised so much for the Pink fund and brought so much pleasure and friendships to so many. And no, I don't think anyone had forgotten, I have checked the thread regularly and I am sure everyone else has too. good luck with the finale. Ann Glos

Hi Jenny, Well done with the relay, all the worry was worth it! I am still here behind you praying everything goes well with GB. How is my little boy Beau Bear? I bet he had a great xmas and New Year with you but must be missing GB dreadfully. I can't wait to see a photo of their reunion. Not long untill your little girl will be home so again well done, you should be very proud of yourself. I, along with many others are very proud of you as it has not always been easy for you what with keeping up with where GB is, what she is up to etc, also you have had your own personal problems to contend with but you never gave up! A big cheer for you Jenny from me. Love Trixie xx
