I just got mine thanks!! WOW! LOL Big list!! Qucik question though, do the company provide the tents? Are we walking or is it on camels?? That many things going on in head LOL

PinkDiana Report 27 Apr 2005 15:12

Walking although your large Rucksacks will go on camels or trucks! Yes they supply tents!

Pink - you have to understand about the Chanels... they're my pride and joy. When asked if I had to pick between them and the ex (when I was with him and liked him!) I genuinely couldn't make a choice... becx

This is a copy of an email I sent out for CHINA.... and it worked!! Sorry for the unsolicited email but I need all the help I can get.... Because, 'Oh my god, I am really doing this, and I hate walking'...... I have lost all sense (if I ever had any) and agreed to take part in the Great Wall of China Challenge on 15/05/2005 to raise £10,000 for Cancer Research UK . This is going to be seriously hard work, as it's as much as I can do to walk to the car normally and the training is probably going to be the easy bit!! Yes, i can hear all of you that know me really well going 'Yeah right Diana, you training!!, can't wait to see that!!' You can find details of my plight and donate online by credit or debit card at the following address: your donation page. This also gives you the opportunity to pay once I have completed the event, so all you non-believers in my commitment to this, can be covered!! :O) All donations are secure and sent electronically to Cancer Research UK. If you are a UK taxpayer, Justgiving will add an automatic 28% bonus from the Government to your donation, at no cost to you and it will be added to the final total. Please join me in supporting Cancer Research UK as it's a fabulous cause! If you would prefer to pledge an amount and send it to me later, then please email me and I will provide you with the address to send it to! Also, if you know of anyone else that would like to support this fantastic cause then please feel free to forward this link on. Thanks for taking the time to read this and thank you for all the support you may give, Cancer Research and i, appreciate every amount that is pledged, no matter how big or small! Best Wishes, Diana

my sun glasses are prescription ones lol. I am trying to talk Dean into comming with us too, but he doesn't seem too keen. I'll keep you informed. I hadn't even thought about kit - just deoderant, makeup, scissors (to turn my t-shirt into a vest so I don't get wet armpits and whether or not it would be that time of the month (something I am sure you girls have thought about lol) oh and some false tan for my sock line on the journey home! I think I am going to have to spend a bit of serious time on this! Jack x

Unknown Report 27 Apr 2005 15:27

presumably you've got the 'extensive' kit list that Diana sent out Jack ?

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 27 Apr 2005 15:29

Chaps, it really is an EXTENSIVE ONE and I am sure we really can share most things..... especially as we all know each other and it's not like China where I know no-one!! PLEASE DO NOT BE PUT OFF BY IT!! :O) 90l Rucksacks on Ebay for £20 and sleeping bags are not that expensive if you don't know anyone who will lend you one!

Bec

Bec Report 27 Apr 2005 15:30

Jack (Sahara) Report 27 Apr 2005 15:35

I think we should have a Sahara meet towards the end of the year so we can sit down and discuss who is taking what and how we are doing with fundraising. I'm happy to share anything of mine but not sure anyone would want to share my roll on lol Jack x

Tracey

Tracey Report 27 Apr 2005 15:36

sounds like an excellent idea Jack. i suppose we could have a quick practise walk - to the pub - as well!

Kerry

Kerry Report 27 Apr 2005 15:37

That is a great Idea.I`m looking forward to the London meet as I`ve never met anyone yet and it`ll be great to see the rest of the mad bunch that I am doing this brilliant journey with

Unknown Report 27 Apr 2005 15:38

meeting up is a good idea, I'd suggest late summer though - that way if anyones struggling with the fundraising, we can all lend a hand... since 80% of the money has to be paid by January, if we left it till the end of the year it could be too late
