Hi all how are you all I'm the same as Tony just don't seem to get much time to my self , last week much excitement for me as I had my sixtieth birthday up here and a special surprise Cassie came from Brisbane and met my girlfriend in Cairns and they bussed it down the coast to where Michael went and picked them up and bought them to where we are at a place called Kurrimine Beach then on Saturday night we went to a lovely restuarant looking out over the Coral Sea for dinner with twelve good friends lovely company lovely half of family and lovely food , then on sunday actual birthday we had barbie at van park with twenty friends there ,Cassie had to fly home Monday but Jennie stayed till Wednesday then I went back to Cairns with her and we went out to Green Island and went in the glass bottom boat to look at the reef and we saw some whales on the way out there so we had good day and and then in the evening we went to the Casino and had dinner Jen flew out on the red eye at 6 am in the morning and I wandered around Cairns shopping mostly window shopping and caught Greyhound Bus back to where we are staying and Mike picked me up again so all in all best week I've had on this holiday , I'm glad to hear Barb is getting there Tony and plans are going well for your trip , I hope you are all fit and well and will try and get back on here again soon love Lara

G'day Dave, Magi, everyone. Havent been on the boards to much lately. Just pop on every now and then. Barb is now back on her feet ( thank god, no more ironing..lol ) Have been running around like a Lizard flat out drinking. Booking planes and trains, and transfers, B&B's, Hotels, Car hire,ect,ect....with under 4 weeks now till we come to the U.K. ( grabs a V.B outa Daves fridge ) Also, downloading AAmaps off the net, so i can learn the road system over there. Bloody hell, petrol is very expensive Dave. 90 to 94p.....Thats about $2:20 a Litre here.....and we complain cos we pay $1:16 Dont surpose you could ask Mr. Blair to drop the petrol prices for me, mate!! Might have to sell me house just to pay for the petrol bill......or B.Y.O ( Bring me own. )....lol Take care everyone. Tony Oz ps. Anyone know how much it costs to fill up your tank with petrol? We will be driving a Ford Fiesta 1.25 Ta.

Morning All.... Just popping in (as everyone says), bit busy at the moment with my visitors.....I never realised how hard it is to feed 3 teenage boys and an ever hungry male.....Oh well it has given me a bit of a kick up the backside...so to speak! Made me get up and get going! Which I have found very hard to do of late....am improving with Magi's kind help and ear!!!! I think it's all because directly after the hurricane we used up so much energy due to adrenalin rush and having to lug all my sister's and my friends furniture from their houses to a shed my husband built in our garden to house it all!!!! (They all stayed with us in our downstairs). Then we kind of stopped and I find it very hard to get motivated again....keep looking at the garden and all the other jobs that need doing...and that's all I do look. Sorry big whinge there.... Anyway had a lovely day yesterday took the boys to Concorde Falls and they loved it - leaping off the rocks into the pool...encouraged by my husband who still thinks he is 16!!! Jacquie xxx

Morning to all, over there. And good afternoon from us here downunder 3:00pm. Typical winter weather here in Melbourne for the last few days. Barb is doing fine, and recovering well. This is due to the great nurse Tony that is waiting on her hand and foot.....or as Dave says...Ozziemodo....'The bells are ringing for me and my gal ' Hope Magi and Bilal are settling in to there new venture, and my best wishes to them both. Would love to stop for a beer, but by the time i do the Vacuuming,Wahing,Wash the dishes,Prepare the evening meal, Empty the Dryer,Ironing, ( didnt know your not surpose to Iron Lady's Panty hose!!! ) made a mess on the Iron ( melted them )... Mrs. not happy....told me not to use the Iron!!! Must go......have to go climb a Church steeple...lol Have a great day everyone. Tony Oz...ziemodo.

Hi Dave I will just have a coffee today..its only 9am here. We all seem to miss each other lately, are you all out enjoying the sunshine??? It has been raining here regularly now, we are all hoping it keeps doing it, our water catchments are still at a critical level. Maybe I will catch up later. Vickie

the day is off to a good start here on the edge of the forest...feels a bit strange knowing this is our last day in Istanbul (I'll have to change my name now!). We intend to go for a last long walk, take some more photos for prosperity, collect a few pine cones (they're huge! Pretty useful too, I use them to keep the windows open...) and I'll probably get all maudlin as I really love the forest and the peace and quiet, but, hey, this is just the beginning of a new chapter in the book of life.... ...and boy am I looking forward to it! Morning Tony, we need a new waiter for the bar...lol... sounds like Barb has been giving you a lot of practice... seriously though give her our love and let her know we're thinking of her.
