took grandson to school they are busy resurface ing it , went over on my ankle on all the stones lying round , fell bringing shay down with me , lovely bruise on my hip , hand still stinging , at least shay never hurt himself . lucky not to many round, more embarrassed than anything else . trust me

Ahh Rose, i think one of the worst places to hurt is the hip area, i knocked mine the other day on the side of the worktop - the pain made me feel sick...

Ooooh poor you Rose. I did a similar thing when my baby was about ten months old. Racing to get across the road to the bus stop because I could see a bus coming along. We were heading for school and I went flying while I was carrying little one. Good job the road wasn't busy, I picked myself up still holding my baby and crossed the rest of the road, the bus had waited but before I got over the road it drove off. A drivier pulled up who had seen everything and asked me where I was going. When I told him I was going to the school, he offered me a lift (about a ten minute drive), I count myself lucky that day because I got in his car with my two girls and trusted him to take me where I needed to be. I was so concerned about getting eldest to school on time I took the lift without thinking. It could have gone horribly wrong but fortunately he was a genuine guy offering a poor lady with two children and chunks out of her knees a lift. Phew, was I glad when I thought about it later that he was such a genuine chap! Twenty years down the line and I still remember every detail of that day. Silly me!

Hope all are well and I hope you enjoy your play tonight Jacky, you'll have to tell us all about it tomorrow. Sounds really interesting. You watching it at the Empire/Playhouse/Royal Court or someone's front living room :) hehehe.

Hello Rose, sorry to hear of your mishap, hope you will soon be on the mend, I know all about this falling over lark, not nice, what with my bionic leg and metal hip i am always tripping or stumbling, covered in cuts and bruises, seems to be a way of life at the moment, ner mind we will survive im sure.

It was a good show last night - enjoyed myself.

Lyn, it was on the Royal Court, Sonya and remember the lady who played Chrissie in Brookside ? she was in it too, she was great - so full of energy !!!!
There was lots of songs from the 60/70s, the audience were all singing and jigging.....Lol
