Do you ever wonde what happened to some of the footballing heroes of the past. I've been looking at some of the stars from Aston Villa's history and seeing what they are up to now:

Gordon Cowans - Villa Academy youth coach
Charlie Aitken - Former vice president of the club
Johnny Dixon - After Villa he became an Ironmonger before retiring in 1985. He is now President of the Former Players Association

Hi Catherine, how are you.....yes it was fasicnating finding out what happened to the 'stars' of yesterday...I remember Gary Shaw bless him when he spoke he made David Beckham sound inteligent....and remember Tony Coton the Blue's goalkeeper...well I used to go the gym with him...there thats my claim to football fame!

Just a few intresting pointers tonight-

1) England v Switzerland (friendly)
let hope capello knows his stuff.

2) It the Manchester Derby this weekend-you never know we have been known to wipe the smile of the red's faces.


My local is opening at 11am (not the pig btw)
and closing it's doors at 12.00 and if your not in you have no chance-hey a whole pub with reds and blues together lol

friend of mine may be able to get me and OH tickets for the derby on sat-but it's in the united end behind fergie-so the question is
1) do I go and watch my beloved city and compromise my beliefs or
2) do I grin and bear it

I dont think city or utd fans will do anything to disrupt tomorrows game it will be the hooligans who go to a match hoping for trouble. Hope both teams have a good game.
