Try AnnC and Annb G Michelle.

I imagine Fareham market these days is enough to make anyone bawl their eyes out. Is it still held in the same place as the old market used to be? It was always Mondays and we always used to go when I was a kid right through to when I moved away in 1968. But when I was young it was a proper cattle market with cows, sheep and pigs as well as chickens etc. That brings back memories. Then sometimes there would be a fair held in the marketplace, that was in my early teenage years. Bet it is not nearly as colourful these days. :-)

Back from our weekend away now. So pleased you managed to get into the city Michelle, well done. Lots of good advice on here but do keep taking your medications that is most important. I am sure that your main problem will resolve itself eventually as I said before to you. But you being depressed is not going to help that, so you need to take your medication and, as AnnC says try and get referral to a mental health specialist. <3

Just popped on to say I hope you got some sleep and are feeling a little stronger today.

When my friend was going through something similar and wouldn't go out of the house to see a mental health specialist her doctor arranged for a couple of telephone consultations for her. Would something like that be of help to you?

Just take it one step at a time. Every hour that passes is an hour nearer to you getting better.

Morning tinkers, here's another day to face but you got through yesterday and hopefully had some good sleep so take one step at a time, congratulate yourself on the good things you have done like going into the city etc and try to do one more difficult thing today.

Here's one or two sayings I like:

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday and all is well

Today is the first day of the rest of your life!

Best of luck hon, have something nice for breakfast and try to take your meds and eat regularly during the day.

Did you think of using Rescue Remedy, it might help.

AnnCardiff Report 24 Nov 2013 23:29

well good for you going into the city - big step that

and taking the important meds is good too - you're doing all the right things - now when you see your GP ask him about a referral to the mental health team - I'm fairly sure he'll think it's a good idea too

now when you go to bed tonight, do what I always do to get to sleep - I think of a topic and put things in alphabetical order e.g. makes of car say, Audi, Bentley, Citroen, Daimler etc

or flowers

Aster, Bluebell, Crocus etc

anything you can think of, and before you know it you'll have dropped off - give it a go :-) <3

Thanx oh aides for the advice no I haven't been referred to the mantle health team as yet

I phoned the Samaritans early hours wednesday cos I was in a disparate state tho I'm still very depressed I don't want to go threw another day like last Monday and Tuesday

I'm well chuffed with myself for going into the city without bawling my eyes out

I'm still only takin the wo most important meds as I still cant face the rest of em and I am taking lots of meds

AnnCardiff

AnnCardiff Report 24 Nov 2013 22:04

come to think of it, you can refer yourself - why not give the Samaritans a call - they're sure to know the number of your local Mental Health Team - that's if you can't find it in your local telephone directory under health services

you still have your appointment with your GP for later in the week - give it a go <3

Excellent suggestion Ann C, more than one type of doctor or other specialist may be required, but I can understand her feeling most comfy with a familiar doctor. .Should be pleased with yourself Tinkers for going into town, and you've made it a week already , well done, you! Onwards and upwards! And remember that we are in your corner. Hugs. <3

just wondering if your GP has referred you to the local Mental Health Team in your area? Seems to me you need some specialist help and never mind how good your GP is, he is a "general" practitioner.

I worked in mental health services for nigh on thirty years and know how helpful they can be
