So glad you have had some positive things happening to you, and that you can see light at the end of the tunnel, tinkers. Stay on that track and life will keep giving you little boosts to keep you going.

Hi tinkers,

Sorry you are feeling a bit low again, and the thought of diabetes is making you panic. It shouldn't be too hard to adjust to it by sticking to the same diet as your husband and you will probably be treated with the same medication, my o.h. is on those tablets and can eat well and with the occasional treat if he is sensible. Probably stress won't help so do try to keep calm and do some breathing exercises if you feel panicky.

Hope things will improve for you

Dear All

Hello

I've read through this post and thought I would add.

Speaking from experience, please do remember that even when things seem so bad and you feel you are worn down and cannot take much more, these feelings
WILL and DO pass.

Living with any form of depression, anxiety, phobias, etc is draining on your
emotional and also physical well being.

HOLD ON.

If necessary take small steps, and remember each one takes you forward and further on to feeling better.

Take gentle care
Sincere wishes
Elizabeth,
xx

Just keep thinking michelle, many many people have it and they cope, at lest you should be used to what you can and can't eat.

If it is type 2 diabetes Michelle it is highly unlikely that you will need to use insulin. That is what my daughter has and she takes tablets for it. If you can do it you may well be able to control it by diet. Type 1 diabetes is the one where insulin is normally needed. Type 2 is nothing to panic about honestly as long as you eat sensibly.

AnninGlos

AnninGlos Report 29 Apr 2014 17:44

Is that type 2 Michelle? If so have you just got to adjust your diet or are you on medication? My daughter is type 2 and she manages very well.

Keep practising the breathing. You have done very well. Have the attacks been since you learnt you are diabetic?

Well done Tinkers for getting through such a difficult time, with that new lift the only way is up for sure!! With the long dark winter days that were often wet and cold it is hard to feel good but you have made it to the lighter brighter days and I hope you will continue to do well and feel better.

I have been thinking about you but this computer has been playing silly devils for weeks now so I don't get as much time on here as I would like.

Take care now and enjoy your new slant on life

Hi all

It's been a while since my last update so I thought I'd update again

Well I can't beleive that five months ago I hit rock bottom the worst place I've ever been in my life

With the help and support from my husband and you guys on here I don't think I would be here now

Today I am relaxed and calm its unbeleiveable I wouldn't say I was happy but I am getting there

The panic attacks r getting less and less now and I'm learning to control them now and they arnt controlling me anymore

Still suffering health wise but that's normal for me lol but with the help from my occupational therapist I hav a threw floor lift fitted and am waitin for a showing to b fitted then I won't no myself

Once again I just like to say a huge thank you to you guys on here for your love support and private messages
