Corin has an address for his paternal grandparents in Truro in the 1970's.

He has not mentioned if he has tried to follow this through to find out who

they were,.............. parents of the 1935 David Thomas Hill or the 1939

If you check Corin's first post, you will see that he mentions two possible births

The 1939 fits with his idea that there is an Italian connection

Corin has his own birth cert.........hence the info he gave about his father's name

Had an email from Corin saying that his birth certificate lists David as being born in Truro. Not sure how this can be as I've never seen a birth cert that lists the father's birthplace.

When I see initials on here, people have usually made assumptions and are then listing them as fact.

It looks to me as though Corin has found this birth because it was in Cornwall and is quoting it as the one.

Can I make a point Corin, as you've found to your cost,it's NEVER ( in my opinion) a good idea to phone out of the blue, if you get the wrong person they think you're a crazy...if you get the right person, you are putting them in an awful position of HAVING to make some response without being fore-warned.

Always write first... that gives people chance to consider, to read over again and think before they respond negatively. :-)

Two days ago I gave Corin the names of siblings for David Hill born 1939

as well as David Thomas Hill born 1935, ( that is his full name on Corin's

birth certificate), with the names and addresses of living relatives to follow

up. .

i have looked but only found one person also looking for a david hill she is also looking for her dad have messaged her and awaiting answer i also looked at 192 and have rang a few numbers had the phone slamed down on me and had a very nice lady take my number and said she would ask her friends i never realized that trying to find one person would upset so many people maybe i have gone about this the wrong way and maybe i should have thought about it before jumping in feet first i can't say thank you enough for all the help i have had off everyone

The time that has been wasted is by those of us who have looked for information which you had already been given......by Peter. I certainly invested a lot of time in the search............

You should not have deleted your first thread, nor asked again without owning up to the fact that you had been supplied with a LOT of info.

Will you please answer the question about whether you have looked on here for possible contacts?

Corin, there are a lot of David t Hills on 192.com , i had a look last night... do you know if he lived and worked in the area where you were born? he might not have moved far away...so might be worth getting credits on 192 and looking at those listed as being over 65..just a chance.

Do you know what his occupation was? would that give any traceable leads?

Stick to this one thread and nudge it when you want to ask for further help. you can always edit the title 'help still needed' or similar rather than start another thread next time . :-)

i am not a time waster i am very grateful for all the help i have had from people on here i have only just got a copy of my full birth certificate and that alone has made half my family to stop talking to me i have very little to go one apart from what people on her have found and helped me find i have taken notes and all your advice wrote to possible living family members and phoned a few too sorry if you think i am waisting your this is all a bit of a head mash for me and i dont have a clue what i am doing

IF....and only if......the 1939 birth is the correct David, he has two siblings

I would think that Corin only knows what his/her mother was able to share..............David didn't marry the mother of his child

Although, as I stated earlier, Corin's birth cert will have at least his full names.

How do you know he was born in Truro but not know when or his middle initial?

John's death cert will include the name and address of the informant........if that person was related, you could try contacting him/her

Have you done the obvious..............?

i did put up a thread before and yes i do think it is the bertolucci i have managed to go back but cant go forward ie trying to find him i put this on just in case anyone could help me find him or and other living relatives thank you all for your help i feel so out of my bepth and not sure what i am doing
