Why does the title say Doug Battersby? Is he a Rigby or a Battersby?

Any idea of age or where born?

What about my other question? Too many Douglas Rigbys unless you can narrow things down.

Try Forces reunited

And there is no such thing as the Welsh Army.

Find out from your brother which unit he actually served with, then use that info to search for Rigby on the site

I agree with Reggie - I'm ex mil myself. You need to know the guy's unit ie 1st battalion Welsh Guards (that is just an example) then search on 'Goggle' using true title and you might come up with a Regimental Association with a Guest Book and you could post in the book.

You could search by name on Face Book site, Friends Reunited site. You could post in Forces Reunited but you would need to be a paid up member to get reply.

Hope this helps

I have just searched Friends Reunited and Forces Reunited and your doug rigby is not listed. I will leave you to search Face Book
