Thanks to all who replied - I have been trying to find my missing maternal grandmother who disappeared in 1913 when my mum her daughter was a baby. REcently I had a break through and found that she had gone on to have 3 other children with a John Frances Archer. I sent for her b.cert and found Doris . Pawley her daughter 22 Wellington gdns Charlton. She had a daughter June D b 1943 who I now know married anthony Saker in 1963 in Woolwich. I will now send for a marriage cert. in the hope of eventually finding a living relation so thanks everyone. Am I the only person who feels that the more I learn the less I know.

It's def Saker on the GRO record of the marriage

There is a Sayer/Pawley marriage in 1963 to explain those births.

His wife was only 20 at marriage.
Get the marriage certificates for details of his Father?
