Find Living Relatives

Hi, my late husband james edward shield, had a brother called charles r lived in chester-le-street, but were born in gateshead, james lived in wakefield yorkshire until he passed on in dec 2011,l am trying to trace any of his relatives,non of them l met only charles and his wife who l believe was called joan ?. charles was born in 1935 and james in 1937, there was another brother but he was killed in a motorbike accident.

To find out if anyone else is researching this family have you tried "Search All Trees" under the Search button above?

You can put the names of the family in and see if anyone else has them.

If you find a possible match you can contact the tree owner to see if you have a connection.

I would suggest that you delete the automatic message about looking at their tree. Most members will not open their trees to you until a connection has been established so just type your own message about who you think you may have in common.

thanks yes, l am james widow l do know his first wife ,l cannot find anything in 192.com l have tried that and joan as passed on,l know they had children but don't know names. any help would be grateful,also tried the tree .

There appear to be 3 children to the Shield/Ormston marriage.
One of them may be a member of genes.
Suggest you use search all trees looking for Charles R Shield, as R seems to be Rogan in her tree.

Follow up on that.........

Get credits for 192, and find the 2009 address. Write to it...................he may still be there, or if not, the current occupants may know where he moved to

It does'nt look like he is still at that address as there is another couple living there now.

Maybe an idea to send a message to Karen who has Charles R Shield in her tree as mentioned above, she could be his daughter

This is the Find Living Relatives board, and I think John Hesp born in 1777, should be on the Ancestors board.
Some helpers do not use the Living Relatives board so you would do better to start the request over there.
If you could say how you got back to him that would be useful, and also where you have looked.
