No one can tell that without seeing the marriage cert, but the birth in 1913 matches the death in 1982 so looks likely

is this her death?

Yes I do believe that is the correct Janet Hanson, is there any more info on her with regards other marriages or chilldren. ?

Do you know how I can find out about the hotel in Brighton where Herbert parents lived in 1936, to fin out what it was called and the location ?

If she had remarried she would not have died as Kelly as for other children that would be difficult not knowing where they were born or whether they had the fathers name or her married name or even just in her maiden name.

Not sure how you would find out which Hotel they lived in....I used to live in Brighton and would imagine there were quite a few hotels then, as there are now

Possibly if you contact Brighton Library/Archive, they may have trade directories including lists of hotels - there is frequently a 'reverse' index for adult (over 21) surnames.

http://www.brighton-hove.gov.uk/content/leisure-and-libraries/local-history/archives gives further links

if you can't go there yourself, there will probably be a charge.

The 1911 Census in Ireland isn't him. Herbert John's dad was called Herbert George. It's on Herbert and Janet's marriage certificate.

Having reread this thread the immediate advice was for Denise to buy some certificates, which she appeared unwilling to do.
Are Elizabeth and Denise in contact?
