I think he's too old. By a couple of years. Also born wrong side of the country. You might be right about having his name changed. It seems odd that I can find almost everyone's details, except his.

For any helpers who are not fully aware of the information contained in modern birth certificates:

'A full birth certificate will give you:
Date of birth
Place of birth
Full name
Maiden surname of the mother
Sex of the child
Informant's name, address and relationship to the child
Full name and occupation of the father if married to the mother (or if he attended with the mother and signed the registration entry) from 1969
xxxxxx Place of birth of both parents.'

Ryan
Presumably your Mother's address was on the certificate, not your Father's, and any occupation?

How about friends reunited for him in Chatham at primary school - it just depends when he moved from Chatham to London.

Am looking for the Living relatives to my Grand Father William Barker Hall born in 1885 Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England. He was a Planter by occupation. He was married to Blanche Hall (Wife) born 1910 and they had a daughter called Rosemary Hall born around 1931. They lived in Uganda by the years 1936 - 1970 at a place called Mbarara in Uganda. They several times visited England and whenever they visited they went to The Grange, Wymondley, Hertfordshire in UK a place where we think there could still be existing relatives. William Barker Hall died in Uganda in 1973 and the rest went back to England. So am trying to find any possible traces of any living relatives who we expect to be may be living around The Grange, Wymondley, Hertfordshire. England. Or may be around Hitchin town.

John

You need to start your own thread with the name/s you are looking for either on the "Find Living Relatives" or for your grandfather "Find Ancestors Board"

I now know he was living in Wimbledon at the time of my birth. He then allegedly relocated back to Chatham.

Sorry, cannot see any marriage for him in Chatham or surrounding area.
Do you know when contact was lost with him?
Thanks

Are your maternal grandparents still alive? Are they able to help?

Have you looked at old electoral rolls for any addresses you have? Mark may have been living with his parents given his age.

I lost contact with him in 193 (as a baby). I've never known anyone on his side of the family. I have no addresses. I assume he did go back to live with his parents.

My grandmother on my mothers side is around, but has no information for me. I'm really at a dead end.

He may still be living in wimbledon. Do you know where his grandparents live? As if you do, he might be somewhere near there.

Also ,
He might have changed his name to Stephen Mark Johnson
