Odette

I can't even begin to tell you how thrilled I am that you are now in contact with members of your family.

Did my Facebook info help??

My very best wishes to all of you.

Odette I just noticed something interesting in the list of events posted by Stephen ... from family trees at familysearch.org possibly

the name POTTIE is given as the bride in an 1891 marriage and mother of two Aliphon children

I'm wondering whether the name would actually be PottiƩ, pronouncied pottyay ... this does seem to be the name in Mauritius ... and we recently had a question here about someone with a name spelt differently but pronounced the same, from Mauritius

I'm going to send you some info on that privately ... it would be quite something if you discovered a far-flung cousin here as well!

edit - info sent, and interestingly I found another connection between the two families at familysearch as well, so I have given you info for contacting members of that other family in England
