Her tree starts with Abraham Gregory B 1794 Waverton Cheshire Married Elizabeth. He was a stone Mason Between 1820 and 1825 he was living in St Albans Herts

Going down this line my friend said that her Grand father was Charles William Gregory
coming from Tooting London dont' have a date of birth yet not sure if he was born
there? Her father was Frances Leslie Gregory b might be 1926 or 8 Tooting i think it might be Surrey

Brenda, to go any further you'll need accurate details from your friend of her mother and father, particularly his date of birth and exact spelling of Frances ( which is usually the female spelling) as there doesn't appear to be a birth at given dates? . Too many Charles W Gregorys in that area.

Sorry i have taken time to come back to you . i have been trying to look up myself. . i have found a Leslie Gregory death 1966 Prescot Lancashire England age of death 49
My friend did say that her father died young at around that age. birth on it as 1817
This confused me because she gave me Frances Leslie Gregory b 1926 which cant be right . as she is in her seventies. It was the Leslie that i could not find any thing for .
The one with the W Gregory and the Catherine Crapper is her great great Grandfather.
but because the census ends in 1911 i cant find her father any where .
I have so many to go through now thanks to you again ,
I know there is a Crapper in our side of the family somewhere so will have to try and find if there is a connection link . I hope so as we have become close friends Thank you so much again will let you know
