cant find war records. h foulkes-n preece

hi i have tried to find war records for harold foulkes born 1894 his service in the 1914=18 from staffordshire and norman preece 2rd war born 1919 on his marriage cert he gives the number 5051640 also from staffordshire.
could anyone help me as i cant find them in the records. thanks dee

harold Foulkes was from longton stoke-on-trent born 1894 mother margaret father george but he had died. harold was single. I think he had the mons star,

Soldiers who served after 1920 are not online, they are still held by the MOD,

You can apply for them, It costs £30 for his basic info and can take between 6 to 9 months to recieve them.

This link below has all the info you need in order to apply including the forms you will need to send off .

Where have you looked for Harold's service record?

abt 70% of service records were distroyed in WW2 bombing so you may not find them,

What other details do you have for him?

Their are 2 possible records on Ancestry and i don't have subs but if you can give more details for him someone who does may have a look,

who was his parents?

Did he get married whilst serving, and who too, any children born whilst serving?

Also for those who served after WW1 and before WW2 even those records are not complete. I know I tried to find my grandfathers records, only to be told that they either did not have them or they may have been mis-filed!!!
