adding to tree..

I have just tried to add some details to my tree as we all know children of parents are younger.
I placed some details and persons born dates of 1945
As I attempted to place a child of the parents b 1965c

the following warning appear preventing any addition.

Children must be younger than their parents
father year of birth is 1945
mother year of birth is 1945

There is no point in reporting as we all know why!

Whoops! That's a bit of a problem.

The site seems to be really screwed up and it's about time things got sorted.

Members patience is wearing very thin and it's a shame to see a great site with all these problems.

Just tested using the same dates on my own tree and it accepted them without question.

However, I think it starts to get confused if the yob and or dob fields are changed or don't match. It then fails to validate / revalidate correctly. So, yes, it looks like there is a bug.

Just use the old tree it is fine. Both the new and old trees use the same Airlock functions.

I prefer the OLD TREE site and have suggested that users can have default choice so that site automatically pulls up the Tree that you have chosen as default. I find the old site much easier to use than the new one.
I cannot get the new site search facilities to work 1st time and it usually takes me 3 times as long to see if linked to another persons tree or census info. :-S
