Perhaps when the OP of a thread has been restored it could be made unreportable and uneditable.

Porkie_Pie Report 4 Jul 2013 13:51

Ken, Up until recent events I would have agreed with you but bear in mind that when GR read a thread/post that has been reported it can appear (on its own) to be fine and not in breach of T&C's

However of late threads have been started in order to try and intimidate other members by opening debate over content posted by the "TARGET" victim on another thread and ideally on another board where the original content has been drastically exagerated and out of context in order to draw attention in an attempt to get others to join in on the attack and ridicule the victim.

So when GR review the reported thread they also are not aware of this original source and cannot judge accurately if the thread/post does indeed breach T&C's

The case in question was RR'd by one member and reinstated and I suspect the reason was that GR had not been given the "full details" highlighting the connection between both threads/posts on separate boards, but the second time it was RR'd was because the victim had seen the OP for the first time so RR'd it and gave GR the evidence of the breach in T&C's and link to both threads as proof

I no this because I was that "intended victim" and I did report it on the second occasion

Edit,..."intended victim".... because I refuse to be anyone's victim

Are no staff on duty at weekends now?

was wrongly reported for review late afternoon / early evening yesterday.

Joy,

Of course there is no one on duty who can review an RR'd post!

Only very very rarely has an RR'd post been looked at over the weekend from about 5 pm on a Friday to 8 am Monday.

There are not that many staff members, after all.

The member who RR'd that post deserves banning., when the staff do get around to looking at it.

It was disgraceful!

Some staff will remember that, not so long ago, the abuse team acted upon
reports in the evening, at weekends, and public holidays.

GR has a presence in social media out of working hours, as can be seen in facebook this evening.
Why there but not in its own site?

Shelley, the post wasn't very long. How can it take such a long time? And now surely the review will be suspended until Monday? (As GR staff have publicly stated that reviews are not undertaken outside of working hours.)
