NanaSue ...............

a lot of us use C&P most of the time, copying over to the hard drive ............... it's very easy, and quick, and is often the only way to remember what we posted that was then RR'd .............. because, as PP noted, GR do not always tell you what you said.

If we don't know, or cannot remember what we said, how on earth can we obey the T&Cs and not repeat the behaviour ................... or how can we appeal the decision to GR if we feel that we have been treated unfairly, either by GR or the person who RR'd?

There has been a lot of malicious reporting on the Boards over the last months and years ............... and it makes for a very unpleasant experience.

I think you calling it "weird and freaky" or nit-picky is unwarranted.

NS, How much time I have and how I chose to use that time is my business,

You have no idea what so ever as to what my personal circumstances are,

As you have addressed your post 08:47 to me, Would you care to remove your remark "How weird and freaky" I find being called such as offensive

This is real wooden spoon stirring thread - not sure who the target is.

I would imagine the 'target' to be the person or people who indulge in RR'ing posts for no reason other than sheer spite.

The purpose of this thread is not to 'stir' - it is to try to put an end to such nastiness.

Nope - it is just the way I write - say it as I mean that is all. <3 <3

Adding my comment from thread on General... in reply to NanaSue's

" There are members on here who copy everything they write on the threads so they can reference back or paste back in a debate where they are determined to prove a point. How mean spirited."..

My reply:

".hmmm maybe, but I think there are rather MORE who have been forced into the position of having to copy everything someone ELSE writes in order to base their comments on accurate details when said other person has edited or deleted their antagonistic comments. so they read as 'Miss innocent' ."

Why anyone would want to C & P messages from a chat board is beyond me. Very sad.....!

patchem

patchem Report 29 Jun 2013 21:24

No, it is not sad.

In your opinion it is sad.

Perhaps you should define 'sad'.

People behave in different ways depending on how they have been treated in the past.

Experience brings wisdom.

Peter Report 29 Jun 2013 22:34

I do not believe anything could have happened in a person's life that forces them to sit all day C & P messages from chat boards with a view to doing 'something' with the evidence. I view it as a very sad way to spend ones leisure hours.

patchem

patchem Report 29 Jun 2013 23:01

Nothing forces them to spend all day C & P messages.

I think they can type much faster than you (or I).

Fractions of a second and the information is saved.

Now, if I were systematically saving such information, and then playing around with it, I could see how many times 'Peter' posts almost straight after 'InspectorGreenPen'.

Give me some statistics and what fun I can have.

SylviaInCanada

SylviaInCanada Report 29 Jun 2013 23:03

Peter ...............

until you personally have received a) nasty comments posted on a thread from another member, and b) received even nastier pms from that member ............... you will not, and could not, understand what would make someone c&p posts by that person plus your own responses

GR does very little to control such activity unless you can show evidence of offensive or abusive behaviour WHILE also showing that you yourself have not initiated it. ............. especially if that member is one of the even nastier people who post a comment, then delete it .................. thus giving the impression tat you yourself are the trouble causer.

Once it happens, you will maybe understand.

I don't think anyone is so daft as to C&P everything .................... it is very selective ................. copy what that other member posts that is directed at you AND is offensive or abusive, and your own responses to him or her.

and should in no way be described as a "very sad way to spend leisure hours". unless you have lived through it.

Reggie

Reggie Report 29 Jun 2013 23:37

IGP and Peter

It ill-behoves you to pass judgement on the actions of other people until such time as you have experienced the behaviour which prompted them to resort to those actions.

And no-one suggested that anyone 'spends all day' .......so don't exaggerate, Peter.

As one of the victims I fully understand their doing so..............and have indeed done it myself on occasions. With worthwhile results, I might add...............

Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 30 Jun 2013 00:12

Peter, I see you stick your head up once again commenting and assuming OUT OF CONTEXT to another one of my posts

Where does it state that anyone sits all day C&P messages from chat boards,

Just to clarify what I said

“I will just continue to repost until GR decide otherwise so click away my copy and paste works just fine and uses minimal effort"

So now lets clarify and make it absolutely clear what I mean by that and why I have STARTED to do so now in the last month or so and only on GR,

I have found that I need to keep a record of my OP to threads, and on occasion when specific members post controversial comments due to these "Specific" members who IMO are WUM's and or Troll's, there is IMO NO need to keep a copy of any other posts or threads and so my C&P is specific to these members interactions with me.

Despite being a member for 9 years I have NEVER found it necessary to do so until now, If you want to call C&P sad the real sad thing is the fact I now find it necessary after 9 years on GR

IGP, Make your mind up, on this thread you appear to be confused as to what malicious reporting is 9 May 2013 07:49
Then state you have also been a victim in the past 9 May 2013 18:22
Then go on to say again that you don’t understand what malicious reporting is so which is it, How can you claim to be a victim of something that you don’t understand?

Define, SAD, Do and Don't. Understand?

A classic example of C & P ing to make a point which is far removed from the real truth of the matter.

How sad .....!

Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 30 Jun 2013 21:10

IGP, My post simply gave the date and time of when you said what you said, Please don't try to imply that I as you say

"A classic example of C & P ing to make a point which is far removed from the real truth of the matter"

the reason I did it as I did was because I gave you credit for NOT trying to turn my comments/observations around.......so Had NOT used C&P

But as you have chosen to do so I will C&P the whole of your posts below to avoid contusion,

InspectorGreenPen Report 8 May 2013 14:36

Question:-

What is the definition of malicious reporting and how would you prove it?

InspectorGreenPen Report 9 May 2013 07:49

All very confusing.

InspectorGreenPen Report 9 May 2013 18:22

Unfortunately I still find it all confusing, and I speak as a member who has been made a victim in the past too, but then I'm not an expert, apparently

InspectorGreenPen Report 19 May 2013 17:42

Even more confusing.

""........... or not a victim of the current happenings

and sometimes maybe a little intolerant of others ................

after all, we are all under restrictions as to what we can post on these Boards, often from GR, but also for other reasons.

Thus we can only talk in generalities ........ and suggest that some changes need to be made.""

Goodness knows what someone from 'outside' thinks this post is supposed to mean.

NOW its all together let others decide whether my post was far removed from the real truth of the matter.

InspectorGreenPen

InspectorGreenPen Report 30 Jun 2013 21:32

"But as you have chosen to do so I will C&P the whole of your posts below to avoid contusion"

Another example of what is in effect "Selective C & P ing" without regard to the wider context.

Porkie_Pie

Porkie_Pie Report 30 Jun 2013 21:41

IGP, This my thread is about malicious reporting of threads,

You appear to be confused as to what malicious reporting actualy is?

you clearly state that above, you also clearly state you have been a victim

so why do you say my C&P is Another example of what is in effect "Selective C & P ing" without regard to the wider context

May be you could explain why you think its "Selective"

Roy

Renes

Renes Report 30 Jun 2013 22:36

Sorry to interrupt

but, I thought the new thinking on the boards is ....

"If you don't like/agree with the subject matter of a thread ignore it "

posting on a thread, arguing that the thread should not be there, etc etc etc

As it causes arguments,

Roys Thread , Roys opinion,

All those that have contrary opinions .. Go start you own thread ...
