I doubt very much that she married at the age of two

When you sort out the dates..............do some research

Find the marriage of her parents by using freebmd..................you don't need anyone else to do that for you

Then find the births of Vera's four siblings on the same site

Hi Reggie,
Thanks for all the information very appreciated.
Sorry about wrong information on Vera Constance Maughan I should have put
her D.O.B as 1920, and her marriage was 27th September 1941 to Thomas
Jones at The Parish Church of St. Lawrence. Which is all the information I was
given by someone who got in-touch with me trying to find family.
Thanks for your help I feel it is not the same Maughan family as mine, not unless
anyone came over from Ireland with my gg grand-dad that I don't know about and
settled other then in County Durham.
Many thanks
Jane.

Hi Bob,
So sorry to just get back to answering your message it shows you how long it is since I was checking my messages with Gene's, sometimes you feel like you are
knocking on doors that don't ever open.Could you tell me anything more about
Meggie Bromley, I have a G Uncle Alexander Maughan who married and went to
America and I had some research done on them and one of his daughters is down as Meggie short I would think for Margaret. My mam and her mam always
got " Maffin " yet some of her sisters and brother got Maughan, also on family Census in America the name in the early years is Maffin then changes to Maughan. The name on some of the paper work and certificates has gone through lots of changes the name was McMahon when they came from Ireland then Maffin ( I have a G Uncle burried under that name ) Maugham, McMaughan, ended up with the Maughan spelling but there has been lots of other tries at it to.So what area does the " Bromleys " come from. Hoping to hear more about Meggie and who she married if you feel like letting me know Bob.
Sorry again for not getting back to you sooner
Jane.
Jane.
