Hi all another one for you,

If some one was born Oct 1957 and adopted by march 1958. ( only 5 months )
Can we assume that there original birth would have been registered in the Dec qt of 1957

you have 6 weeks to reg a birth so it would be in the Oct-Dec qtr 1957

Even in the case of an adoption ?

Porkie_Pie Report 10 Sep 2013 17:27

Births have 6 weeks to be registered

Adoption has nothing to do with birth registration,

All births have to be registered with the biological birth parents details (where known) regardless, illegitimate births are the only exception with regard to fathers name

that's what I thought, just wanted that to be confirmed.
