As I sit and wait for my email with the test sheet, this was an interesting read. The syndicate I joined was Free Loaders. Liz

Hi Lesley, I have used Verifier as I am scared of getting it wrong, your way sounds a lot quicker. If you sent them a page with mistakes what happens? Would they sack you lol. Denise (goggle eyed)

Hi Denise.. I dont think they mind how many you send at once...I send them to Freebmd as soon as I have checked the page once I have finished it and sometimes I send it straight to Derek and sometimes I wait and send him 4 or 5 at a time........ I dont bother with BMD VERIFY I just hold a piece of paper against my screen and go down one line at a time on the transcription and click on the arrow next to my typed page one name at a time and cross check them that way...its a lot quicker than using Verifier I think....I sometimes find I have done numbers wrong and even missed a name out especially when there is a lot of the same first name like William one after another..... I have also got a note pad next to me with the following info I put and cross off with a highlighter pen when I have done it. DL = Downloaded 58b2F0666 = for my reference ST = Started DO = Done CH = Checked SE = Sent That way If I have to go out and return to it later I know where I am upto and If I forgot to send any finished pages... I am probably the only one that does that but I find it very handy as I am quite forgetful lmao Hope these Help Loopy :~)

Hi Lesley, Yes, I read through the other thread and tried the district no thing,. It does save time. Got 1858 handwritten ones today and they are sure a lot qucker than the typed versions. It took me a while to work out that all the info for the header page is in the scan code. The typed ones were dated and numbered and easier to read but a lot longer. Do you upload one at a time or in batches. What do they prefare? Keep the tips coming lol Denise.

Lol Denise.... Tips For Transcribing????? Get anything done that needs doing that day BEFORE you put PC on lol otherwise once its on You will be stuck to your chair for Hours and get NOTHING done after that lmao So Make a flask of Tea / Coffee or get a BIG bottle Juice..........Ashtray, Ciggy's & Lighter / lighters Incase one breaks you wont have to get up and find one that works........Go the Loo even if you dont really need to..............chuck dog / cat outside so they not pester you for attention..........send kids to grandparents for same reason as animals..............turn volume up on TV so neighbours cant hear you shouting at PC coz of bad spellings / Writing..........Sit back ...Flex your fingers.......and type type type.......pmsl Loopy :~)
