Dee, I think I would back up the images you have on the computer on the cd as well as the FTM, not sure if they link in or not. If you do find an answer, let me know.

Has anyone else had a request for further fees to keep ancestry interaction with FTM after only purchasing a few months ago??? This is the e-mail ancestry sent me: Dear Friend, Your Family Tree Maker Internet backup service will expire on August 1, 2006. However, you may purchase another full year of service for only $9.95. If you choose not to renew your Internet backup service, you will no longer be able to back up or restore your Family Tree Maker files over the Internet. This will not affect your ability to back up or restore files to your own hard drive or other personal media. Renew backup service for one year: Not sure of the benefits of paying for this or is it just additional to normal Ancestry membership?? Regards Linda

Brilliant - Morrisons just happens to be my local store! Shall rush down there (not today though as this is the first time in ages I've been able to get down to some tree-work!) Thanks!

Have a look to see what TWR computing is currently selling it for. I think ancestry themselves have knocked the 2006 version down to about 20 dollars now.

Hi I have FMT version 11 and would like to upgrade, but I have noticed on the box it says not for resale outside the US and Canada, I bought in Australia. If I purchase FMT 2006 will it be compatible do you think, want a UK one really. Thanks Gina

Gina, only just seen your thread - if you go to the website my-history they have a chart on there of all the versions and you can always mail them to ask your query (they are VERY helpful and friendly). I think they have the full 2006 on there for a tenner at the moment.

Good Evening Heather, Happy New Year (almost Easter). Family Tree Maker - I purchased version 2005 last June and do not have a great amount to put on it. Is it worth my buying a later version say 2006 when they appear for £10? Look forward to your comment. Margaret N
