Sorry Jess, I only have an entry for the 1901 which shows him as a Stone Mason. I thought he was on the 1881 as living 12 Bishops Place Plymouth St Andrew, son of George May and Elizabeth, both 38 yrs. He was an apprentice stonemason and his Dad was a stonemason, as was his brother. Family History Film no 1341529 RG11 Piece 2199/104. He would have been born 1866 on this one but 1868 on the 1901. Heaven forbid that he would have lied about his age!!!!!!!!1

Dear Jess, Thanks for the info on Benjamin Sindall. Do not think it is the correct one. He would have been about 34 years old in 1871, maybe a police constable, born in ingoldsby Lincolnshire, i would really appreciate it if you could have another look for me. This gentleman has been bugging me for a long time, i want to know who his father is. Thanks a lot Vanessa

Hi Jess Thanks for the help you've previously given me with my Williams ancestors, it's much appreciated. Any chance that you could check the 1871 census again for me? I'm looking for Rice EDWARDS (and yes the spelling is correct, it's the old spelling of Rhys/Rees/Reece), living in Bala (Merioneth) - though on the 1881 census Bala village is called Llanycil. I'm fairly certain that he's my great great grandfather and my great grandfather, Edward EDWARDS, may be shown living with him. If you can track them down, could you let me have the details, please. Fingers crossed! Kate
