Which marriage cert please?
The one to Mr Jenkins or to the Mr Morgan that Mike found in Swansea?

If its the one in Swansea in 1916 to Mr Morgan please can you give all details on it,especially the name of the brides father and his occupation.

Thanks

Peter

This is the only death for a Susan showing for that date:
Susan Elizabeth Scarbrow
Birth Date: 1 Oct 1892
Death Registration Month/Year: Apr 1985
Age at death (estimated): 92
Registration district: Ealing
Inferred County: London
Volume: 12
Page: 110
So, not likely with the extra name.
Deaths before 1969 do not show date of birth.
So, either the person informing for the death certificate did not know her correct date of birth, or she died before 1969.
This is most unsatisfactory.

Peter,
Just start with exact date of birth from certificate to try and identify any death.

(Then name and occupation of Father, and Mother's maiden name if you want)

Interesting Michael.

A bit close to her leaving Mr Jenkins time, but possible.

Would be interesting to know the details of the marriage cert to see if any are the same as the one to Mr John Jenkins.

Some money on certs is going to have to be spent on this at some point if Susan is really wanted to be found out about.

It would really be best to get her birth cert for exact date of birth.

£9.25 from here

http://www.gro.gov.uk

Patricia has posted all the details for you to be able to order it.
If you have not ordered before and have any probs just ask any of us for help..its free of charge on here !

We may then have a chance of finding some possible deaths for her.

Where was John Daniel living when he had her (supposedly)declared dead?
If he did indeed do that he can not have divorced her.

Do they issue a death cert in those cases?
I have it in the back of my mind that they do.
Will have to check it out.

Mother born 1913,her mother left when she was aged 3 in 1916ish,so maybe declared dead in about 1924 ish?

Sound about right?

just an observation. Susan may not have known she was delared dead so never remarried but lived with someone and would be buried under their name.

Message from Peter.

HI
THANKS FOR DETAILS OF ABOVE VERY HELPFUL WHAT I AM TRYING TO FIND IS DID SHE REMARRY. DID SHE HAVE ANY MORE CHILDREN OTHER THAN MY MOTHER SUSAN BORN 13 FEB 1913 (STILL ALIVE) AND MY UNCLE JOHN JENKINS BORN 26 JULY 1914
.WHEN & WHERE SHE DIED.AND IS THIER ANY MORE CHILDREN ALIVE I MAY BE ABLE TO CONTACT AND ASK IF THEY KNOW WHY SHE JUST WENT AWAY? MY GRANDFATHER JOHN DANIEL WOULD NEVER SPEAK OF HER.

THANKS AGAIN FOR ANY INFO YOU CAN FIND
REGARDS

Peter ,I have put this on here so that everyone can see what it is that you want help with.

To reply on here as we do please use the purple rply button at the top of the post.

Also it would be nice if you could turn your caps off,it makes hard on the eyes for reading and also looks as though you are shouting.

As patricia asked....Do you have her exact date of birth please? This makes it possible to search the death records easier and if she remained a Jenkins then it may well be a long and expensive haul to find her death.
Are you certain that she divorced?Divorce back then was a difficult and costly thing and mainly the upper classes were the only ones to be able to afford it,so people just seperated and ended up living with another partner without actually marrying, unless they commited bigamy of course.
Thank you
Fan

Very precise place of birth on here, although 1901 does say Grays Essex for birth place .But the birth in Bethnal Green would be her I think.
