robert Report 6 Dec 2011 09:38

I have begun research on another book I want to write, (I have just had one published) My Gran died in the tube disaster, her name was Mary Ann Fowler, my dad her son, moved out of London and never spoke about his mother or the disaster. That was until he went to the memorial service in Bethnal Green, he went with his two brothers. I began to take an interest and asked him about her, but did nothing, he died in 2006, his brother two years later. I began my research but have hit a brick wall, what is strange, Mary Fowler several years after her husband died and along with her three children, moved a man into her house, not a thing to do in the 1930's. She was disowned by her family. Of the list of people who died 171 have addresses, two are without. My gran Mary Fowler and the man she lived with Albert Nevile. Mary Fowler was Mary Silver, I can find nothing on that family either. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place, but the more I look the stranger it becomes. I'm hoping someone out there can help me continue my search into this colourful woman.
