Wonder if the one on FR is the correct one. It says her maiden name is Clark.

Could this be your Helena?

Putting Helena Tsiricos in FR gives the same result so it is the same person.

i think you best get her to speak to your great Auntie ......

And prehaps some one could look up the long lost brother !!!........

Hi Gemma

The 50 year rule means that to apply for a birth certificate that is less than 50 years ago you have to know:

Surname at birth *
Forename(s) *
Date of birth (dd/mm/yyyy)*
Place of birth *
Father's surname *
Father's forename(s) *
Mother's maiden surname *
Mother's forename(s) *

Without *ALL* of these details they will not issue the birth certificate :-( And they must be accurate.

So as the birth cert you applied for is 1962 (46 years ago) they wont send it without all of the above! It's silly really as in 4 years you'll be able to get it like any other cert!!! I believe it is to prevent identity fraud.

Anyway it sounds like you are getting really close now :-) I've got everything crossed for you, keep us posted :-)

Regards
LfW

Have you got an approx year and place of birth for Peter?

Is Samuels her maiden name?

Is she a sister to Ivy or Fred?

Gemma

Gemma Report 23 Sep 2008 19:31

Cathy Samuels is David and Peter's aunt but will have to confirm which parent she was related to.

Samuels is her married name.

I dont know Peter's DOB and neither does my godmother but she says he is older than David (he is 1960)

Thanks all

Just wanted to add that my godmother told me that David worked in a wine Factory near London Bridge at the time of my birth.. shame I cant seem to locate through google. Maybe some Londoners on here might know what it might have been called? I could call and ask about old employees.

Gemma Report 25 Sep 2008 18:49

Update: My godmother has confirmed David had an older sister called Pat (some pages back someone listed this as a name)

Hello all,

Today I got in contact with Nicola Veness who's mum is my biological fathers sister. (Patricia Long)

I have been given my fathers phone number and he is waiting for my call. I got a lovely email from Nicola telling me all about my family etc and how my dad has always spoke of me (which was nice)...

and now all I got to do is pluck up the courage to call my dad! :-)

I wish to thank everyone on here that helped me look for my family and searched through BT records and the rest. You have all been fantastic and shown great interest in my search.

Thank you all very much & good luck in your own searches!
