Colette's query - FreeBMD will probably not have quite reached the dates we need for his marriage yet - shouldn't be far off though.
Checked a lot of Ancestry pages - nothing yet. Again transcriptions haven't travelled as quickly as demand!
A trip to Romford RO is probably the best bet at the moment.
The other option is to trawl the BMD records - at the moment i'm not in a position to do this, but if Colette knows when her mother/father was born, we can make an educated guess that they were born within wedlock and the marriage was no later than their birthdate.

Yes, that's him and his folks, and even with the mistranscribed surname, that was easy to find.
Just wish his marriage was as easy!
