Edith Heald (1902-1957) married to George Horwell born around 1894 and they both believed to have lived in the Yorkshire area.

Have tried searching for records online but not found anything as yet.

I am not sure. Edith's death certificate listed a George on it as her partner. Edith had a son Kenneth Horwell (my grandfather) but no one seems to want to talk about Edith and her husband and other children. Kenneth was born in 1919 and died in 1992.

Is there anyone I can write to who can send me a copy of the details?

I am trying to find how I can do a search on gravestones too...........!

I feel like I am stuck with this these two family members.

Have you got any more details on Edith Lupton? In terms of where she lived, other family members, etc. Anything?

Now I am confused - two Luptons here.

I now need to go back and look at the death certificate of Edith to make sure I am working with the correct info. Not sure if Matilda comes into play. Florence Edith however seems to be on the right track.

1919 was the year my grandfather was born and his birth certificate has no father listed on it. So, not sure if Matilda and Joseph belong to him.

Are you sure that Edith was married? There is another record for a Kenneth Horwell born 1920, mother's maiden name Horwell in York.

Oh my ghosh............! I am getting very confused.

Think the best thing to do would be to give you the information I am certain of and that is Kenneth's year of birth was 1919 and he died in 1992. His wife is still alive and is called Renee Horwell.

As far as I am aware Kenneth had step brothers. That is all his wife would tell me. On Kenneth's birth certificate, his father was not listed and no I am not certain about Edith being married. Maybe she wasn't which is why I cannot find any records.

I don't understand though - Does Squire Heald (born 1897) have a first name?

And all those people in the household - are they children and grandchildren? Apart from Elizabeth who is obviously his wife. I can't understand the family structure.

I think you may be right AnnMc in that Kenneth was not Squire Heald's son.

Joan it is possible Edith married twice although I don't think she ever married Kenneth's father.

Okay, I can not find any marriage for a Florence E. or Edith Lupton to a Horwell. Not to totally confuse you but maybe others may confirm--is it possible that Florence Edith Lupton did not marry Kenneth's father but gave him the father's name of Horwell. Then she later married Squire Heald??
