Julia

Information would be much appreciated on Canadian Passenger Lists on
Ancestry:
Alfred Sutton 1882 +/-2
There are two showing up - but I don't have the right subscription. Any information on them and their families travelling with them would be wonderful.

I am beginning to think this chap was abducted by aliens.

Thank you,
Elisabeth

Julia,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I shall put this chap to one side for the time being. It was very much a long shot anyway. I am sure I will find him one day.

Happy hunting.

Hello, I have very little information on my grandfather, he was very mysterious! His name was Horace Albert Barber and was born @1890 where I dont know..yet. All I know is he spent much time in India as a courier of some kind and said his family were in Belgium, he may of been bought up in scotland. I think he came back to the uk @1920-1930 probably into a southern port, or the north east as he lived in London and Newcastle upon tyne.I would appreciate if you could check along this line it is a start for me to try and find out who he really was and what he actually did.I hope its not too much work for you, many thanks Linsey Nyari

Hi Julie,

Thank you for the kind offer. Fingers crossed as it's a long shot but I'm hoping you might find something on my family.

My g/grandad John Hyland born 1868 left Dublin, Ireland for Liverpool in 1910. His wife Lizzie b1872 and children Kitty, Joseph, Daniel, John, Thomas and William followed the next year, or so the story goes.

I've found Lizzie and kids still in Dublin in 1911 but no John with them. There's a John that could be him on England 1911 census but I can't be sure.

Thanking you in advance.

Deb:)

Heloo i think i have made a big mistake as i have put a thread on the reHello everyone, is there someone who can access ships records, as i am trying to find my great granfather but have cum to a stand still so thought i's take a gamble with a few more names who may have left from russia/poland in the mid to late 1800's.
ANNIE CURVINSKUTIS DOB ABT 1837 RUSSIA POLAND. LIVED IN WIGAN.UK
JOHN MINCYINSKUS DOB ABT 1830ISH RUSSIA/POLAND (SUPPOSEDLY ANNIES HUBBY)
FRANK MINCYINSKUS DOB ABT 1862 RUSSIA/POLAND
MARY YAKOB /PODENSKEY ABT 1852 RUSSIA/POLAND.
SHE MAY OF HAD TWO CHILDREN WITH HER OR MAYBE SEPERATLY.BOTH WITH THE NAME MILLER IN UK
JOSEPH MILLER? ABT 1885 RUSSIA/POLAND
MARY MILLER? ABT 1887RUSSIA POLAND. THESE TWO CHILDREN WERE FOUND IN THE CEN WITH MARY UP TILL 1900/1 IN NORTHUMBERLAND.WIGAN NEWCASTLE, AND MORPETH.

i shall deleat it if you are able to find them on yr lists. i think they may have come here abt 1880's which is just a guess goin by ages of children..i dont know from where only where they were born.

also if u have time my father became a british nat.abt 1950's-59.
he came from durban south africa and was born: 31st dec 1910. though my brother put the wrong date of birth on his death cert so he could also have the dob: 12/ 09.1910..... or something like that..
thnx again
thnx so much

Many thanks Julia

I am looking for 2 siblings that left England for the USA/Canada at different times and returned seperately.

William Henry Priest born 1885 Barking Essex and
Maude Emily Priest born 1882 Barking Essex.

Also if you have time can you check the surname SKILLETER for me - not a common name so there may not be many if any at all, I have been told some family of ours left England for Cananda and wonder if you have anyone coming up.

Many many thanks

Danielle
