Member Since: November 2009 Posts: 41 Send Message	I am trying to find information on the Mcavady sisters. I believe there were 5 maybe 6. 2 of which were AGNES B1904 & FRANCES ELIZABETH B1909. This is confirmed. Agnes married Francis Ferguson 1927. Frances married Albert Worrall 1929 in Wolverhampton Others could possibly have been HANNA, ROSE, THERESA (TERESA) EVA (EVE), possibly a MARY & AN ANNIE So far, I believe all of them married (if i have the right lineage) I believe they would have lived on Fisher St Oldham and attended St Marys RC Church. Any information is greatly appreciated.

Ive been onto my Godfather Paul Ferguson (in my tree) and Im amazed excited and emotional. I grew up without knowing my family. Now all of a sudden Im going to be reunited with an Aunt (Ona saunders) at christmas - the best present ever! once again many thanks. now i want to find out if the rest of the 6 sisters married - think i will struggle! I already know about 2 - Frances my nan and Agnes my godfathers mum. Not sure how to find the details on the others! P

I have no idea how to search records from ireland. Co Mayo is a possible.... many many thanks, from your help it corroborates what I have foiund am finding so far!

Member Since: July 2004 Posts: 5,047 Send Message	Paul...No brick wall...!!! Nicholas married Mary Walsh in Oldam 1867...You should find them on the 1871 Census..I dont have it so cant check for you...Possibly both sets of parents are also on it so worth a check...

I will take a look on the 1871 census tho...not sure how to search irish records tho

If Nicholas married in 1867 then the 1871 Census may possibly show where he said he came from in Ireland.. His Marriage Cert may give you some clues ...who were the Witness'...what was his address was at the time... Also bear in mind the Surname may have been altered ...there can be various permutations...McEvitty/McFady/....McVitty...who knows..?
