Yes Michael yours is the one I meant , wonder why, if it is her, she called herself Burgess when she was christened Herring though?

I posted the Burdge/ Burgess marriage on page 2 but I think it was dismissed because it was pre 1861 .

Brenda far from researchers "putting the mockers on", you appear to be leading a bit of a hide-and-seek by withholding info and/or trying to make pre-conceived details fit without confirmation.

Ok

the marriage record between a Charlotte Burgess and William Herring is visible on the Norfolk Records on Familysearch for the parish of Hilborough, as is the baptism record of Sarah Herring in 1843

....... didn't someone mention a marriage to a Burgess on here much earlier?

I have to go out now but I will keep an eye out later?

Brenda

Brenda Report 17 Jul 2010 10:58

Yes Chris, this is her, as you can see it has Swaffham on her Birth
but on the 1861 census it has Hibbow which i think was a mistake and should of been Hillborough. on Family search though it has got Hillborough her mother was born i Hillborough . I have checked Harriett Maria out her sister who was at Mitford Norfolk where Sarah was. and followed her through to the 1891 census , but she did'nt go with her.

Janet Report 17 Jul 2010 09:52

Well I am as confused as hell now too.;-)

So did you assume that the marriage between Sarah and William was 'your Sarah' but now we think not . So we are just now trying to find out what happened to a Sara Herring after 1861? and William Masters has nothing to do with your family?

Brenda

Brenda Report 17 Jul 2010 09:46
