Percival was born 1884 in Camberwell
I have found him between 1915 and 1936 coming in out of the counrty from South Africa.
I cannot find a death for him in England.
Does anyone know where i could look for his death in South Africa

Have you seen his Army papers , he enlsted in 1915 . In 1919 he claimed passge money from Rhodesia so seems to have lived there more than England.
He also asked to be repatriated back to Southern Rhodesia

You should be able to find an image of his death notice, which shows quite alot of information, but I am struggling to find the correct image, ( the numbers should help, but don't seem to :-( )

That is the death index.
Using the numbers written there one should be able to go to the death registers in another nearby section
My husband has found alot for his family there recently using this system and says 63 refers to the volume number.
I think it's going to be trial and error to find him there though.

No problem.
I'll guide you through to where he should be,.... but I still haven't found what you need.
In theory we should be able to go to Volume 63 then go to certificate entry 108.
This is not necessarily the same as the image number. ,but once you get an image of a record on screen you can see a handwritten number on the top of the paper ( towards right hand side usually )
That is the number given in the death INDEX.
I tried this with a randomly picked name and then checked his number in the index and it worked just fine, ...but doesn't seem to work for Percival.

i know shame really
Would love to know what he did in Rhodesia
he was a secretary for the British South African Company 1915 to about 1930
backwards and forwards to England and fought in 1stworld war
got all his army history though
Have googled it but most of it is military

I have found on the incoming passenger list 2/11/1946 and out going list 1947 the following

do you think these are his decendants or a coincidence and where do you think they could fit in
forgive me as i am not a very good at googling unless it is simple, is there anywhere i can find south african bmd
