ello again im trying to find info on charles walters he was born 1829 marden and he married ann barden in 1864 in maidstone they had two girls one being my ggreat mother ruth in 1866 and julia in 1868,,,any info would b great i cant find parents for him,,,,,,,,

So if Charles died in 1868, aged 33yrs, then he wasn't born in 1829 but in 1835 ?

In 1871 census Ann and her daughters are not living with the Vigor family.
They are living next door at No. 8 Bank Street and Ann is a Laundress.
Eliza Barden is noted as visitor.

I think the birth with parents Charles and Mary is not the guy we are looking for as he's not showing on the censuses at all?

I think it would be really helpful if Lyn could come back and post us some feedback and then we might be able to move on with her question ;-)

What we need is the marriage cert.
This would give us Charles' age and occupation and his father's name and occupation.
Maybe there were witnesses that were members of the family?
What address does Charles give on the cert.? Maybe he was still living with his parents.

Ruth or Julia's birth cert; would also give us Charles' occupation?

Im removing the incorrect info, again to stop confusion. Maybe Lyn will eventually come back at some point :-)

So that seems to confirm that Charles was not born in 1829, Marden,
but 1835 in Canterbury.

Have also removed info on the other Charles Walter. Just goes to show how important it is to get marriage and birth certs. to confirm what you 'think' you know.

1861 census also shows there is a Tulia (could be mistranscription for Julia) ?
