Find Ancestors

Hi there. I hope someone can help me again. I am having trouble finding the right census' for William Senior born c1856. I have his marriage to Mary Foxley 25 July 1875. This shows his father was Thomas Senior. They married in Chorlton upon Medlock although prior to this they were liiving in Witton. I have found various census' some showing him born Witton and one showing Oldham. Also 1881 shows him with his grandparents (Hurstfield's) in Barnton, although I cannot find a marriage for a Hurstfield and Thomas Senior anywhere. I do know that they did live in Witton in the 1800,s.

Thomas Hurstfield's occupation is a Boiler Maker, same as William Senior's in the 1881 census.

What was William's father's occupation shown as on his marriage cert?


Edit: Does the marriage cert have father's name written as Thomas Senior, or just Thomas?
