that looks promising as I am led to believe John Griffiths was born in llanerchmedd Anglesey
and his date of birth is 1851
how do you find all this out
I looked on free bmd and could not get back further than about 1837ish
once again many thanks for the information and your time

sorry reply late but first I could not get on genes reunited then I put my posyt on about 6 times no idea why maybe something up with my compuor
will have to ask grandson to look at it for me

freebmd is a transcription of BMD records taken from the GRO index

The GRO came into being in July 1837

Before that date, there was no civil registration............only parish records.

Something else you must take into account.............

............until 1875, there were no penalties for not registering births.....hence, many births were simply not recorded.

Henry born in 1809 Llanfachreth Anglesey
Catherine his wife born in Llanchymedd
would anybody look on 1861 census for me for the same family
