Couldn't resist - had a few SP credits spare

Samuel John Lennox born 16 November 1872 ED... Street, Annan to

John Lennox - can't read occupation (could be lath ---?? - as 1881 census) and
Jane Lennox - Maiden surname Cummings
Married January 12th 1868 Durham

EDIT - could be Ednam Street, Annan - there is one showing on google and occupation Lath Splitter as per 1871 census

is this early marriage date to cover birth of Robert Samuel

Family mis transcribed 1871 - Samuel 1868 b Durham would be Robert Samuel

1871 England, Wales & Scotland Census Transcription
Kirkborough, Dearham, Cockermouth, Cumberland, England

First name(s) Last name Relationship Marital status Sex Age Birth year Occupation Birth place
Thomas Johnson Head - Male 34 1837 - Shropshire, England
Margaret Johnson Wife - Female 38 1833 - Cumberland, England
Betsy A Johnson Daughter - Female 11 1860 - Cumberland, England
John T Johnson Son - Male 5 1866 - Durham, England
John Lemox Head Boarder - Male 35 1836 - Durham, England
Jane Lemox Wife - Female 34 1837 - Westmorland, England
Samuel Lemox Son - Male 3 1868 - Durham, England
Jessie F Lemox Daughter - Female 0 1871 - Cumberland, England

John is a Lath Splitter - which I can make the birth reg. read for Samuel in Annan!

He is ditto born Darlington from John T Johnson above him and Jane born Kendal, Westmorland, so that looks to be a mistake

Thank you everyone. I love hunches! You have not only given me my Thomas but a whole new branch on the tree. You have also given me good suggestions for further hunting. Later I may ask for help on other mysteries. Thanks again Trudy

Thanks my little greyghost friend - it looks like we both had the same little hunch - I was just far too hot to come back on here when I came back home but it looks like you were able to folllow it through successfully. All's well that ends well, as they say.......

Thanks,

Dea x

P.S. to Trudy - yes, please do come back on here if you need help on any of your queries - we are always very happy to try to help and we get quite excited when there is something new to 'get our teeth into'.

Best wishes,

Dea x

Love a hunch that turns up trumps. And as Dea says, something to get you hunting and seeking answers. Best wishes Trudy for your future hunting and come back anytime. Sorry Dea you were too hot to get back to the boards - not!! (laughs here)
