Find Ancestors

I was wondering if any one can help. Im trying too trace my wifes ancestors and hitting a brickwall.
My wifes grandmother was alice jane viner(nee)stirling bor 22nd december 1924in hexham. Her mothers maiden name was gunton. On the 1939register i found the family living in bristol. It lists father william stirling born 1893, mother elizabeth stirling born 1886, son william c stirling born 25/5/1923. It list alice and a blacked out person which i assume is alice sister nancy dont know nancys birth details.

I cannot find alices parents marriage or birth records for her brother william or sister nancy. I was told that the family had a scotsh accent. Ive checked scotspeople and cannot find a marriage between a stirling and a gunton.

If anyone can help i would be deeply indebted

I think Alice J Stirling is Nancy. Malyon put that birth up.

I had a relly called Nancy and it was'nt her birth name.

Can't see a death for Elizabeth Ferrol except one which is another lady entirely (maiden name HOGG), so I would think that the DOB in 1939 could be wrong, to cover up how much older that William she actually was


The blacked-out record on 1939 is for a child older than William and Alice

The poster refers to Alice's sister, Nancy , and there is definitely another child in the household, as previously stated

The only Elizabeth Ferrol on 1939 is the one whose death I mentioned above
