The Death Cert for Elizabeth Evans 19 Jul 1962 gives her date of birth as 9 Jan 1885, Yorkshire England. She was a Widow and the Informant was her son James Evans. She lived at Nanaimo St, Vancouver, BC.

For the parents details it has Surname only of Father as Harper the rest is Unknown.

There is an Obituary which said she had a surviving brother called Thomas Harper.

Edit

Just found the corresponding Marriage on 1 May 1912... it gives father's name as Richard Harper and Mother as Jane Bristow.

So sadly it doesn't look like the Elizabeth Harper you are looking for.

When was she said to be there?

It's a most unattractive building, looking at it on Google Streetview.

Found a christmas card now. Looks like it's from Fred who we think must be the son of Elizabeth Harper. It's to his grandma Mary Jane and was in the Blood family bible.
Address Atcheletz, British Columbia, Canada.

Please bear with me I'm liaising with a new cousin I found who has some greeat stuff by the sounds of it.

How lovely to have all these family bibles.

Keep the snippets coming....

It would be good if you could find anything with a date.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 18 Feb 2021 16:03

Do you think that perhaps Fred could be Elizabeth's brother?

ErikaH

ErikaH Report 18 Feb 2021 16:21

Atchelitz
"Atchelitz is a rural community within the City of Chilliwack in the Eastern Fraser Valley region of British Columbia, Canada. It is located southwest of the city core, to the north of the Vedder Canal."
Wikipedia

Without a surname for Fred, and an exact address in Atchelitz, not to mention a date, it's hard to look for Fred.

On Ancestry there are lots of records for people named Fred or Frederick in various areas of Chilliwack, but I don't see any specifically in Atchelitz.

LondonBelle

LondonBelle Report 18 Feb 2021 17:14

It looks like Elizabeth's brother Fred married Ethel Forman in 1911 in Clee and was here with Ethel in 1939, so perhaps the Christmas card Fred was not Elizabeth's brother.

Kay????
