I think he may well have been born in Canadian as I have found a william and kate with a daughter May born in Biggleswade so I will probe further

There is a picture of Percy in the Biggleswade Chronicle dated 9 Aug 1940. He was reported missing in May 1940 but his death wasn't confirmed until 1945.
