Di from Sydney - I'm sorry; there are various George Dawsons/Geo dawsons, but not married to a Sophia! I did a 10 yr check either side of 1825.

Michael Canton - No luck I'm afraid. I searched Thomas Wiseman and Thos Wiseman, and various spellings of Susannah.

I am looking for John Lasham and Eliza (Squiers) no year is given but there is an entry in the Pallots Marriage Index for England 1780-1837.I know they raised their family in Greenwich, Great London, Deptford.Any information would be wonderful. Thanking you Janine

Hi Rebekah, Could you please see if you can find a marriage between Thomas Elliott and Ann ?. On the 1861 census they were living in Westminster with their two daughters born 1856 and 1858. Many thanks Olivia.

Optimistic Olivia - Many Thomas Elliott's but the ones marrying Ann's don't fit into the right time span (eg, 1802 etc). Or they were married hundreds of miles from London.

Thanks Rebekah, Do you know where I would apply to get a copy of their marriage certificate? Would I apply for details at the Parish? I am tring to find out more information about Eliza Squiers. Unfortunately I'm off to bed now but I will be back on again tomorrow. Thankyou once again for that information - it's the closest I've got so far. Cheers from OZ Janine

Rebekah, Although they were living in Westminster in 1861, my Thomas Elliott was born in Cirencester (abt1818) and Ann in Reading (abt 1826). Does that help? Olivia

Hi Janine. Contacting the records office would be a good start, I have the copy of the Pallot's image but it doesn't have any details. You won't be able to order a cert from BMD as that starts 1837. I'm thinking the church they married MAY hold something of interest. Good luck.

Thanks for looking Rebekah. I'm wondering if they didn't marry at all. Their 2 daughters were baptised but not registered. Maybe they didn't like to do things officially. Olivia

Hi All I have is William Pearce born London parish unknown abt 1832. His father was Charles- mother unknown. Assuming Charles and unknown wife married shortly before Williams birth (unless he had lots of older siblings,) is there any way of looking for a Charles Pearce marriage somewhere in London pre 1832 but not much further back (my brickwall!) Thank you Chris
