Added by Emma Camden on 08/07/2006 02:17:25 Hi Pen, I'm hoping you can help me a second time, if it's not too much trouble. This time I'd like you to check the 1891 census for Ann Luxmore or Annie Luxmoore, born 1861, Oxfordshire and most probably living in London. I've found her in the 1901 census living in Leyton, Essex, and in the 1881 census she wasn't married yet. I'd like to confirm her place of birth and the names of her husband & children to see if she's the person I think she is. Cheers, Emma. *************************************************************************** EMMA Please post the details you have for her on the 1881 - as you have forgotten to tell me her maiden name - so that I can find her on the 1891, lol. Pen x ***UPDATE I am hoping that this is her on the 1901 - View Record Charlotte Austin abt 1839 Ingatestone, Essex, England Mother Leyton Essex View Record George Austin abt 1838 Devon, England Father Leyton Essex View Record Ann Luxmore abt 1861 Oxfordshire, England Head Leyton Essex View Record Annie Luxmore abt 1887 Ldn, Brompton Daughter Leyton Essex View Record Ellen Luxmore abt 1884 Ldn, Kentish Town Daughter Leyton Essex View Record Frank Luxmore abt 1887 Ldn, Brompton Son Leyton Essex View Record Jessie Luxmore abt 1885 Ldn, Walworth Daughter Leyton Essex View Record Thomas Luxmore abt 1895 Ldn, Walworth Son Leyton Essex

Emma Report 8 Jul 2006 09:58

Thanks for that, Pen. It was a stroke of luck that Ann Luxmore's parents were living in the house too, as it gives me a clue as to Ann's maiden name. Sadly, it seems that she is not the person I thought she was, as was hoping her maiden name would turn out to be Camden - not Austin as her parents were called. Thanks again, Emma

HI Penny, Re: Beasey family Sorry i'm late in getting back to you, i was invaded by grandchildren :-) Thank you so much for the info you found. here is the added info you wanted I have Susan Jane b c 1884( up till now, i believed Beasey was her maiden name) but i know know she was married to William Beasey( i don't know when) Their daughter Florence Beasey (my grandmother) was 19 when she married in 1922( her father was listed as deceased at the time) The marriage was in Liverpool. I wonder if the Beasey family you found on the 1891 are my gran's family!!!! Sorry if this has all confused you Penny, and i hope what i wrote makes sense :-) Thanks so much for your time and help, it's much appreciated. best wishes Jean

Jean ~without the past there would be no future~ on 08/07/2006 Could this be her birth entry then? Don't forget she could of been born the year before and registered in 1905.. Name: Florence Beasey Year of Registration: 1905 Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar District: West Derby County: Lancashire Volume: 8b Page: 673 (click to see others on page) Have you searched for a marriage using the images, they are free to search on ancestry? Might be a case of goinf through them quarter by quarter, year by year. Also with regards to the 2nd marriage in 1915, what did it say she was known as. If your theory is right and she was married before it would of been written down as - Susan Beasey formerly known as BLOGGS (example obviously) If Beasey was her maiden name it would just state Susan Beasey Or pehaps ordering the birth cert, if no father is down then I would assume her to of been a single mother. Pen x This is the match I can find on the 1901 - unmarried Name: Susan J Beasey Age: 19 Estimated birth year: abt 1882 Relation: Boarder Household: View other family members Gender: Female Where born: Liverpool, Lancashire, England Civil parish: West Derby Ecclesiastical parish: Stanley St Anne County/Island: Lancashire Country: England Source information: RG13/3501 Registration district: West Derby Sub-registration district: West Derby, Eastern ED, institution, or vessel: 22 Folio: 20 Page: 32 (click to see others on page) Household schedule number: 187 She is a domestic servant in the laundry Pen x
