Would you be able to let me have details of all the McKerrow families in 1861 and 1871. There are only 27 amongst 4 families in 1881 and several more by 1901. They originate from Scotland so curious to see which ones ventured south of the border first. Thanks Gloria

Hi again Tracy - I'm still trying to solve my Charles Lane mystery. I know he had a daughter Ina (c1903) and she married someone called Pilling or Pillin. Could you look up her birth/marriage? Maybe I can trace him that way? It's a last gasp try before I give up on him! Thanks again Bev

Hi Tracey, 'Tis a mystery and needs to be solved. George Beaumont/Beaumaris Lewsley b. abt 1880, Islington is on 1881 and 1891 census. Not on 1901 census. No death or marriage record has ever been found. Just disappeared from all records. Have begun to check passenger records with no success so far but while doing a search on 1901 census there was a George Beaumont age 22, born Islington. Couldn't find George Beaumont b. on free bdm. Know it's a very long shot but am wondering if George B. Lewsley 'dropped' Lewsley from his name and changed surname to Beaumont. Can you do a look up on birth date for George Beaumont, Islington. I need to eliminate or otherwise this line of thought. Any further help would be appreciated. Lynne

Helen, Susan was servant to John Verney and family. William might be Gertrude's dad, but that's only a guess.
