Hi Sally, Thanks so much for looking for me..Edward may well have been in another county, the regular guys used to get moved all over the place.The info on Eleanor is helpful for a year of birth...I shall keep hunting. Thanks again, Kaye.

Hi Sally Could you look up the following 2 names in the Devon census. Ann Burgoyne born 1818 (app) George Ellis born 1815 (app) I think they were living in the Bigbury/Thurlestone areas south of Plymouth. Many thanks Jan

Jan. this is what I have found Ann burgoyne 1818 born thurlestone. 1851 Jane wills head 42 grocer thurlestone ann burgoyne BPtn 33 grocer thurlestone living George Lane Plymouth. I presume BPtn means Buisness Partner.???? the only George Ellis born 1815 1851 George ellis 36 sailor brixham living that night Union Workhouse. what do you think?????????

Hi Sally Thanks for doing that, they both look right. George Ellis was a sailor and I think Ann Burgoyne worked in a shop so it looks as if that is both of them. Jan

Hi Sally I don't know whether you will be able to help me as i have very little information to go on. I am looking for an Edward Jones who was born about 1843/4. The only information i have on him from the 1871/81 census is that he was born in Birmingham Warwickshire. He would be about 7/8yrs on the 1851. On IGI i found two of them. One born 1843 and one in 1844. He married a lady called Jane but i can't find their marriage. Thanks for your help Jane

margaret, sorry they are not on 1851 census. but, do not know if this helps found them on 1871 census samuel 56 wire worker stonehouse emily 45 kings stanley edwin 18 wire drawer birmingham sarah L 7 lucy 5 living 16b dartmouth st, birmingham edwin married a annie appleby dec qrt 1876 birmingham and found lucy 1901 living with sister Louisa (which I think was sarah louisa married to a John regan 39 machine fitter and Florence their daughter 14 Lucy Hale 35 living with them at l, st stephens place new town. Do hope this helps.

Jane, I think maybe this is the one charles jones 32 carpenter ann wife 39 harriet daugh 13 william son 12 emma daugh 10 EDWARD son 8 ann daugh 6 aaron son 2 living watery lane bordesley aston birmingham the only marriage I could find was edward to Jane scott dec qrt 1861 which would have made him 18 and her 17 which is feasable what do you think?? If so I can give you Jane's parents etc from 1851 census. Sally.
