ArgyllGran Report 29 Nov 2017 12:11

There were 13 Charles Burkes born in Scotland 1880-1905 - per Scotlands People.

Without knowing more about him (which we don't) it's impossible to know which one might be him (if any).

Knowing his children's names doesn't really help, without also knowing where and when they were born.

Samantha -

did you try contacting the Ancestry tree owners?

If the tree which said he was born 1895 is correct, and if he was actually born in Scotland, this is the only Charles Burke fitting that:

BURKE
CHARLES ALEXAND[ER ?]
M
1895
282/2 579
St Mary [Dundee ]

You would have to buy a copy of the cert to find out his parents' names.

I don't see him in 1901 census in Scotland.

In 1901 in Ireland, there are a few Charles Burkes born around 1895, but none in Longford, and none born in Scotland.

And of course, the Ancestry tree may not be correct.

Further re the Charles born in Dundee -

either of these could perhaps be his death;

BURKE
CHARLES A CONNI. . . . . .
0
1896
282/2 33
St Mary

BURKE
CHARLES
67
1962
282/2 261
Dundee West

Just looking at the names of the children. What do you know about the other children? I see you have Ann as having two children, David and Joan- Do you know who Ann married, or have approximate ages?

There is this couple- Mary was still young enough to be the mother of Robert.
