The pension record on FOLD3 states discharged 21/11/15 with tubercle lungs h........ & exhaustion agg. by active service. died 6/7/16

Wife's address 10 Bath Street Altrincham (separated) - not eligible for pension as John did not contribute towards her support prior to his enlistment. Annie b 15/8/1877

The children appear to be supported until the age of 16 - also says Peter died - dates of birth all given

Pension ceased for Peter when he died 30/12/17

Right name, and it certainly fits the DOD posted by Ann above.

If he died in a hospital, perhaps the informant didn't know his exact age.

As already said, he doesn't appear on the CWGC site because he wasn't a serving soldier at the time of death.

Argyllgran - that is the death entry I saw so I think I may send for the death cert. just to check.
