Leanne,
Sorry to hear your sad news. As others have said, the tears will come, I cried the night my Mum died but not bucket loads. It really hit me when I was at the grave side. I think the reason I hadn't sobbed before was that I was being the strong one for My Dad, brother and my 2 girls and brothers children.
Our family is very close and God forbide I don't know how I'll be when we lose Dad as I am his little girl, even though I'm the eldest and not so little (LOL).

Take care and you know we are here if you need us.

God Bless
Helen

So sorry to hear your sad news....
I too am helping look after my aged and infirm parents.....I dread the day they leave me...but I know it will come one day...
.just as my day too will end....and I say to my children now.....live for today.... mourn me for a little while .then enjoy your life....its what would make me happy..
Cry if you need to....Laugh if you want to...
cherish your memories...
your Dad is at peace now......you dont have to worry about him any more.......

Dearest Leanne
What a wonderful proud father your dad must have been to have such a wonderful daughter nurse him until his passing. I bet there is a special star twinkling in the sky - and that will be your dad looking down on you and giving you a wink letting you know he is well and safe and that he will love you always as you will love him always.
God bless you
lots of love
