I had a bracelet and it certainly helped but I haven't worn it for months as it's broken and have a constant pain in the base of my thumb so yes! will buy another |

He should not use one if he has a pace maker or has epilepsy before seeing his GP. |

I can't honestly say. But remember a physiology class in uni where we were shown x-rays of a arthritic hand. One finger alone was unaffected and that was where the lady had worn a gold wedding band. So, my tip is gold :-) perfect excuse to bling it up LOL |

Hi Sandie just come back on I had acupuncture for a number of weeks at the hospital for a neck problem it didn't help the neck (found out later it was a torn muscle in arm) but it worked wonders for my hand it lifted the pain completely but a few mths later i fell on it and brought all the pain back since then wore the bracelet and it does help keep meaning to go for acupuncture. |

I have seen reports of wedding ring fingers not being affected by arthrtis - and of all my fingers and thumbs, only my wedding ring finger has not need a joint replacement and had stayed nice and straight too. BUT, I only wore a gold wedding ring for a couple of years about 40 years ago and since then have only worn silver rings and jewellry. |

That's interesting about the aloe vera I used to grow it and use it for burns it worked wonders for that think I will grow some more and see how it fares |

Another thought I had - has your OH tried warm wax baths for his hands? I was given those when I was in Bath rheumatology hospital and they feel great! You also get to pick and peel off the wax as it cools and play around with it, making shapes and figures - all good finger therapy. lol I am sure I have seen the wax baths on sale to the public now. |

I cant wear anything like that as I am allergic to nickel but I do have a ring - a band I forget what its made of but the whole ring is made of a gem stone its a sort of black colour but not an Onyx. I find it helps but I am not sure if its sort of mind over matter, I believe the ring helps me but am not sure if its the ring or the positive thoughts I associate with the ring if that makes sense. |

maryjane- I can remember my nan used to go regularly to Bath and have besides other things, the wax treatment, I was quite young at the time so don't know how good the effect was for her. |

Think it's possible it's mind over matter but when I wore mine I didn't notice an improvement but then lost it for a month and could not understand why my hand was aching so much then the penny dropped and I replaced it and found the aches much less |
