I've just had a rabbit pie that would have choked a wolf, with a bottle of a fine merlot.

Now I know the significance of rabbits at easter, and for a fraction of a nanosecond, whilst watching the baby bunnies frollicing around outside my window, I almost felt a twinge of guilt at cooking one of their relatives, but it didn't last long I'm pleased to say.

The downside is that I've got none left in the freezer, so look out, little ones!

:-)

Merlot? My favourite vino and you had the lot to yourself?

I hope the feeling of guilt torments you for the next year....for not offereing me any of it.

You can keep the rabbit pie...but the Merlot?

*kicks thread....HARD!*

I can't eat roast lamb when all the baby lambs are about in the fields.

Yet I can eat duck and I love ducks - I think they're so funny.

I think I must have some sort of split personality ....

run, little ones, run!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol

Must admit I have to put a bit of garlic and black pudding in to give it a bit taste - it's a bit bland without.

I wonder what those giant norwegian hunting rabbits taste like? They are huge, aren't they.

Whirls, I've got some Isla Negra Chilean Central Vally, three for a tenner at asda....and very nice it is too.

Unfortunately I can't mix wine and chocolate without a migraine, and as I've had chocolate today and yesterday, so far I haven't touched it!

Whirley Report 12 Apr 2009 18:21

TW sounds nice. I love Merlot. I was given a bottle of Shiraz the other day....very harsh, not as fruity as a Merlot...

the merlot smelt of blackberries, the Shiraz more of cow pat....
