The lad in Tesco thought sago was a herb when OH asked if they stocked it. |

Blast, I knew there was something when I was in Sainsbury's yesterday - went there with my son as we don't have one this side of the city. I was so pleased when I asked a lad if they had the cheese sauce granules and he found some, that I completely forgot those packets of sago. |

I am so looking forward now to going to Morrisons tomorrow for the sago and tapioca, just to see if I can get it. I do not know if they sell it dried, but I am sure I have seen it in Ambrosia tins. Cheese sauce granuels are usually found near the DRUMS of Parsley sauce etc. near the gravy granuels. Very handy to have in. |

Scientists should be working on a way to make a milk pudding that is mostly skin and burnt bits. |

I went to Morrisons today as I said I would, on the hunt for the puddings of childhood. Only managed to get a tin of Ambrosia Creamed Tapioca. Asked the assistant walking past where the dried pudding ingredients were and she looked in awe, as she didn't know what I was talking about. I managed to find some dried rice, but no flaked. Yesterday I was in Tesco, and managed to get a tin of Creamy Semolina. I will eat the Semolina with a dollop of jam in, but the Tapioca I'll put in a buttered dish with slivers of butter on top to form a burnt skin. |

Try looking in Waitrose, they do stock a lot of the old things. |
